The Difference is Clear...

please scroll down

You know dreams can come true, right? Well I have been dreaming of a new kitchen ever since we moved into our house over three years ago. I mean, everyone has been told of my"dream kitchen" Well, this past month has been like seeing a dream come true in a good way.We hired out most of the work but Ed put a lot of hours into the rough work area of the job. Thank you, dear.
This is the before and after pics, I think you will notice a big difference

I know I'm pretty impressed and with empty shelves lurking in there, I see some serious shopping in my future.

I'm getting ready..

I've often wondered what it will be like in heaven..you know, what will god look like and what will we do all day and questions like that. When we are young we think that we will be angels when we get there. We all know that angels have wings and fly around heaven all day. I'm beginning to believe that that is true, because I see that I am beginning to grow my wings already!

They can say what they like..that it is a sign of getting old etc. but I think we know better.

Supper and a haircut...and I wish I'd taken pictures!

Last night I had all the kids over for supper..9 of us. Everyone was having a good time and young Ted mentioned he needed a haircut..Mother, would you? So supper over, we girls(of course) proceded to do dishes and the haircut came up again, so out came the clippers. I got Ted satisfied ( and yes, he's getting more than a little grey) with his haircut..well, he said he could wear a hat for a few days ...and I was about to put the clippers away and along came Dan, "Do me, do me," so I just got him done(yes, he's losing a little hair on top)and I was about to put the clippers away..again..and along came Kore...my turn he says. After finding the right attachment for the clippers I proceded to make him well shaven again( yes, he likes it very short). Grandpa should have been next in line but I think we will leave him for another day. And where was Colin?...I think he must have been hiding in the bathroom!

Last December at our Ladies church christmas party we were asked what two things we would like most for christmas. After no hesitation I responded that I wanted new kitchen cupboards and a big Teapot. I have nattered on about this big teapot I wanted ever since then. I have a group of great ladies who come to my house every Wednesday afternoon to quilt and chat. When tea time comes around I'm running up and down stairs filling and re filling the small teapot that I own. Well, today at quilting group the gift fairy came and gave me the most beautiful big teapot and matching cream and sugar.

I guess the girls figured that this was the only way they were going to shut me up on the subject. Anyway I thank you all so much as do my weary stair climbing legs!

It's great to be Great!

Yes, finally we are great-grand parents. We are so excited that Jade and Ken have brought this period of life into our lives! Tomorrow we are going to Prince George with Brandi and Kore to see our little one. I'm sure lots of pictures will be taken and I will be posting some, of course.

It thrills our hearts to see our daughter Liana being a grandmother. She looks so happy. I can remember becoming a grandmother the first time so very well. The first time I held her,it was even so much better than becoming a mother, I think. Of course we have had a lot of granchildren over the years and I retain memories of all of them. The times of babysitting when they kept me up all night. The times they snuck over to Grandma's house early in the cold February morning for a cuddle in bed with grandma to warm up. The birthday parties, the camping trips, the craft projects ...and then they all grew up all of a sudden. It will be nice to have a little one to cuddle and smell that new baby smell again. Well, guess I better go pack a little suitcase and we'll be on our way!.
